Supported by Intel, PICTI Announces: “Palestine Business Plan Contest – 2012”
The Palestine Information and Communications Technology Incubator – PICTI would like to invite entrepreneurs and students to enter in the National Business Plan Contest – 2012. The Business Plan Contest is designed, organized and managed by the Palestine ICT Incubator – PICTI, as this initiative is one of the tools towards achieving PICTI’s strategic objective of working to identify and support the technical, intellectual and managerial talent of young entrepreneurs who can become the backbone of a dynamic export market for ICT products and services in Palestine.
The PICTI Business Plan PRIZES!!!
· The winners will be eligible to participate at the Intel Levant Business Plan Competition in Amman – Jordan. They will be pitching their projects and competing for the UC-Berkeley seat in the international contest in California. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered as part of the prize.
· PICTI will offer incubation services including acceleration and funding for the top three to five projects at PICTI (Ramallah & Gaza), and in cooperation with Palestine universities.
· The winners will be also part of PICTI mentoring program and will receive mentoring services for one year through Palestine Network of Mentors. They will also be nominated to participate in Mowgli-Palestine next wave.
However, PICTI Business Plan Contest team considers every team that submits a plan to be a winner, and each will receive a certificate for their participation.
· All Teams will receive a certificate of entry
· Team Advisors will receive a certificate of consultancy
· A template for a Business Plan is attached as an annex

Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Foundation Scholarship
The Victor Philip Dahdaleh Foundation Scholarship is provided for Palestinian scholars taking the MSc Global Politics course in the Department of Government, and is supported by LSE Global Governance, a research centre at LSE.
Summary of award:
one award for study in 2010/11, beginning October 2010
£25,000, for fees (£14,904) and the remainder (£10,096) to contribute to living expenses
the award is for full time study only
to be awarded on the basis of potential to benefit from the award
to be awarded to a national of Palestine
The scholarship will be coordinated by LSE Global Governance, with the recipient being supervised and taught through the Department of Government.

If you are not already registered on (or have yet to be accepted onto) the MSc Global Politics programme, please submit an application to LSE Global Governance, via the Centre Manager, Mrs Harriet Carter h.c.carter@lse.ac.uk| .
If you are holding an offer on the MSc Global Politics programme and would like to raise your interest in the scholarship please submit an application to LSE Global Governance.
The successful candidate, if not already holding an offer, will be required to formally apply for entry to the School on the MSc Global Politics programme and will be expected to provide the necessary entry documentation.
Please see the Graduate Admissions Office web pages for information on study at LSE and entry requirements as we cannot accept candidates who do not meet this criteria. The scholarship application should include:
1. a personal statement of no more than 1500 words outlining your suitability for study and potential to benefit from the award.
2. a curriculum vitae which includes your academic background, please include grades and awards in order to assess suitability for study.
3. a supporting statement in the form of a letter of reference from your current place of study, or a professional with whom you work.
The deadline for applications is Monday 21 June 2010.
Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
