Dr. Jihad Hamad: (Geotechnical/Geo-environment)

Experience Summary: Dr. Hamad has a wide range of experience in the field of ground water, soil remediation, solid waste, Solute Transport in saturated media, Soil Stabilization, Soil Behavior, Soil Water interactions, Recycling, Foundation design, geo-technical and infrastructure projects. He also has wide experience in analyzing & evaluating number of projects in Gaza Strip. Dr. Hamad worked at Electrokinetic’s soil processing consulting firm, Illinois ,USA, Bir-Zeit University and at the Islamic university of Gaza. His long experience gives him the necessary background to manage and supervise number of projects. He supervised number of Master students in the field of groundwater, soil remediation, foundation engineering and waste water.

Jihad Hamad obtained his M.Sc. in Soil and Foundation Engineering from University of Texas – USA, 1986. Then he got his Ph.D. in Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental Engineering – Louisiana state university, USA. Dr Hamad currently, is an academic staff at the Islamic University-Faculty of Engineering.

Dr Hamad has a very good and long experience in geotechnical engineering, design of all types of substructures, plan and conduct site investigations, prepare and supervise soil reports. He also has a very good experience with environment and groundwater projects.

Dr Hamad has published many papers in the field of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering fielding in international journals.
