About This Course
This course is an introductory general Chemistry A course (CHEMA1301). The course material covered in this course is simple and basic. The course starts with a chapter on matter and measurement, followed by a chapter on atoms, molecules and ions. A third chapter discusses stoichiometric calculations, followed by a chapter on reactions in aqueous solutions and chemical energetics is presented in a chapter on thermochemistry. Four other chapters discuss electronic structure of atoms, periodic properties of the elements, chemical bonding and molecular geometry. The course will be concluded with a final chapter on gases. The course is generally simple and presents interesting basic and useful ideas and concepts, to use in life and future courses.
