SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS |
· For the past 11 year, I have taught several courses in computer engineering. These courses included: Distributed and parallel computer systems, Computer networks, Computer architecture and design, Advanced computer architectures, Microprocessors and their design and Interfacing, Computer programming languages, Networked multimedia systems, Database management systems, Operating systems, and data structures and algorithms · For the last 11 years I supervised tens of senior computer engineering students in their graduation projects at the IUG. These included design of the projects plans, basic ideas and concepts, and guide the students in the project implementation. Most of these project were information and telecommunication projects and in the field of information technology. · I conducted intensive research in the past 11 years in the field of computer networking, computer network modeling, simulation and assessment, Internet performance measurement and evaluation. |

Other responsibilities included design and implementation of business/financial and adminstrative plans, conducting a promotion plan for the center and design and implementation of training programs and courses.

5/89 – 9/90 Graduate Research Assistant NPAC (North East Parallel Architecture Center) – Syracuse University – Syracuse – New York – USA Responsibilities included doing research related to Ada defense project from RADC (Rome Air Development Center) for performance evaluation of parallel computer systems that include analysis of Ada-based application programs, characterization of super computer architectures, developing algorithm for measurement of parallelism available in any application, design of interface for graphical visualization of program execution in a multiprocessor environment, IF1 code parsing, design of parallel execution algorithms for dataflow graphs, design of dataflow graph manual partitioning algorithms, and design of dataflow graph automatic partitioning and mapping for multiprocessor systems.

GRANTS AND FUNDEDPROJECTS |
· Mediterranean Virtual University (MVU) project: Form 2004 to 2006 I was the technical manager of the IUG partner of the Mediterranean Virtual University (MVU) project contract of a total budget of four Million Euros from the EU to conduct a project in the field of Web-Based Learning. My responsibility in this project was being the technical manager and content development manager person for the IUG partner. The project started in July 2004 for the duration of 31 months. The project included 11 partners from renowned universities in Europe and the Mediterranean region. Project Website: www.med-vu.org
· ODISEAME project: Form 2002 to 2005 I was the technical manager of the IUG partner of the ODISEAME project contract of a budget of 1000,000 Euro allocated to the IUG partner. The project was funded by the EU to conduct a project in the field of Web-Based Learning. My responsibility in this project is being the technical manager and the second key person of the IUG partner team. ODISEAME is a Mediterranean project funded by the EU to design a Mediterranean virtual university. The project started in September 2002 for the duration of three years. · Received a Deanery of Scientific Research grant of $1000 for a project titled “Design of Java tools for measuring the Internet performance” for the full academic year of 03/04.
