Job Experience in Institutional Development

Participated in the preparation and promotion of new organizational structure and Job description of UNRWA Engineering Department

in 2005.

Is responsible to prepare and develop the amalgamation plan of Engineering and Environmental department to new Infrastructure and Camp Improvement Program in 2008. The task included proposal for new structure, amending of the job descriptions and preparing the policy and Justification for the amalgamation process.

Emergency Shelter Assistance Coordinator, UNRWA

From October 2008 I was promoted to be Emergency Shelter Assistance Coordinator.

Is responsible to the management and implementation of the business process used for the delivery of emergency shelter assistance to the Palestinian refugees in the Gaza Strip.

Acting Senior Emergency Shelter Officer, UNRWA

From March 2008 I was promoted to be Acting Senior Emergency Shelter Office.

Is responsible to the management and implementation of the business process used for the delivery of emergency shelter assistance in the Gaza Strip.

Project Manager

From July 2007 to March 2008. Is the Project Manager of the Saudi Housing project at Rafah of $30 million which includes building 750 new houses, 4 new schools, 1 Health Center, Community center, market, water well, complete infra structure.

SPECIAL TASKS

From Jan 2005 to March 2006. Focal point for design, tendering and implementation of EC contribution of 20 million Euro to build and operate 103 computer laboratories and upgrading of GTC by adding seven new Trades.

From Jan 2004 to Sept 2006.Coordinator and member of UNRWA local committee for preparation of contractor's classification list.

Field Construction Engineer, UNRWA-Gaza

From Jan 1995 to march July 2007

Implements and supervises all construction projects in all technical and financial aspects.

Carries out post contract administration duties, assess quantities, cost estimates for documentation of interim and final payment certificates, cost and time control.

Assist the Field Engineering and Construction Services Officer in the preparation of site surveys and soil tests, assess existing building conditions, brief consultants, and discuss plans and designs.

Keep records of budget expenditure on construction projects.

Is responsible for project follows up including site hand over, time schedule, re-measurement, quality control, and variation order.

Carrying out regular site visits and site meetings.

Supervises Area Construction Engineers and Site Engineers including their in-house training.

Prepares monthly progress report.

Evaluates contractor claims.

Is responsible for Assistant Construction Engineer, Area Construction.
